Located near Malegaon on the outskirts of Nashik, this home was the result of a close collaboration with our material supplier. He encouraged us to use the same material that he trades, which is red brick.

We decided to primarily use red brick from his kiln as the main building material. To ensure a cooler indoor temperature compared to the surroundings, we incorporated a sloping roof and a central courtyard. Considering the region’s extreme heat, we maximised the use of exposed spaces, such as courtyards and wider openings to the north, to improve ventilation and natural cooling.
Strategically positioned at the site’s entrance, a separate block serves as the client’s workspace, integrating his professional and personal environments seamlessly. The house also boasts double-height rooms, further elevating its overall elegance. A mango tree in the courtyard adds a touch of natural beauty, enhancing the serene and sophisticated ambience of the residence.
